Fighting Malice
Hannah Olson is a human teenager, living in a modern fantasy world full of magic and superheroes. She spent her life looking up to the heroes of Accardinal city, dreaming she could be like them. One day she gets that opportunity, when she meets and befriends a magic salamander who she names Sizzle McSpicey Pants. She quickly discovers that her bond with Sizzle granted her fire magic, and she decides to live her dream. She’s noticed before her inexperience with magic hurts anyone, and is recruited to one of the most well-known hero organizations as a result: The Order Of Light. This opportunity grants her the ability to meet her idol Illumine, to live comfortably out of the closet as a trans woman, and to train to be a hero just like she’s always wanted. But the further she gets into her training and becoming an official order member, the more she starts to uncover about what happens behind the scenes that the news feeds don’t cover. Hannah finds herself empathizing with villains, questioning her superiors and uncovering webs of hypocrisy throughout The Order.
