Subscriptions are stupid, but I love when they have loopholes

I struggle to keep up on a posting schedule, we all know this. So I thought it was really convenient when I saw that Linktree has a built in post planner extension called Plann, with the feature to schedule my social media posts, including cross posting my videos across platforms. They also have a system built in where you can plot out what type of content you're posting with different colored labels. For example their default options are like "behind the scenes", "inspiration posting", "tutorial", stuff like that. It lets you assign those labels to the videos you schedule or put them as place holders for future posts, and it's all hooked up to this neat calendar where you can see in detail exactly what you're posting and when. Of course, I thought it was the most helpful thing in the world. I was messing around with it, then realized they put all the useful stuff I just talked about behind a pay way all! Because of course they did!

I looked around to see if there was any other app or website with similar features, they're all of course subscription based as well. Also, Plann is apart of Linktree and it's subscription is just a regular Linktree subscription. So the subscription page is all centered around regular Linktree. It's all really vague and isn't telling me any actual information I'm looking for such as which subscription tier gives me access to the scheduling? Whether or not the subscription removes the limit or extends it? If there's a trial period?? What a lovely modern day we live in. But I also saw they had a phone app version of the website (I try to get all my work like this done on computer if I can), and I downloaded it to see what's up with the app. Then I found their first mistake.

They let me schedule posts on my phone. Well, 10 times per month which is still better than nothing. They also let me actually use the damn planner options I was looking for, but they don't let me make custom planning options. Just the generic default stuff that doesn't apply at all to the type of content I make. But they let me customize my options on the computer, just don't let me schedule them... Do you see where I'm going with this? So I have a month of posts planned out for September. I'm going to be taking a LENGHTHY break this August for vacations, so I'll have time to make my plan happen. This is an exciting day. So, I at least took advantage of making a posting plan, and the fact that if I can't schedule ahead of time I can at least do it in the moment. Still more convenient that my current posting routine. Maybe if anything works out with the limited posting I'll actually consider giving them money, but they first must prove their worth. Gone are the days of an impulsive Chris with a solid 2 cents to spare in his account scrapping up cash to pay off an overdue subscription that he impulsively signed up for and didn't really use to begin with. This is adult Chris who has money to spare and an extra brain cell to strategize his money use.
